Hi!

I'm searching for a good Tres Leches recipe too. I was hoping you'd found one by now, since you posted back in February. I have a wonderful, authentic flan recipe I'd be glad to trade. Here 'tis.

Grandma Trini's Flan

6 eggs ( medium )
1 - 14 oz can sweetened milk
1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk
12 oz of milk
1 large spoon of vanilla extract

Sauce pan ingredients:
1 1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar

Method:

Beat eggs in a large bowl with wisk. Add one ingredient at a time beating
well with a wisk after each. (sweetened milk, evaporated milk, milk & vanilla)

Cook in saucepan over high heat sugar and water stirring often. Cook until mixture
is a light to medium brown. Do not over cook. When done spread around pan
sides. ( Best if used in bunt or deep pan ) . Pour egg mixture into pan.
Put into oven ( not preheated ) at 350 degrees. Cook between 35 to 40 minutes.
Check with fork to test if done. If it sticks to fork cook longer. Check in five minute
intervals. Let cool when finished. Approx. 20 min. Turn onto flat plate and serve.

Hope you enjoy it, and thanks, in advance, for any Tres Leches recipe you might be able to send. My e-mail is muffinheds
