Here are two recipes for Pecan Pralines. Hope it is what you are looking for.
PRALINES
2 C sugar
1 C buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
2 C chopped pecans
1 Tbs. margarine
In large saucepan mix soda and buttermilk, add sugar, dissolve,
boil slowly to soft ball stage (234 deg.). Mixture turns brown as
it cooks, needs stirring constantly. Remove from fire and add
flavoring, margarine and pecans. Beat until thickened and creamy.
Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Makes about 30 pralines.
PRALINES
1 C brown sugar
1 1/2 C white sugar
1 small can evaporated milk
1 C pecans
Cook all ingredients together to soft ball stage, set aside for 5 mins.,
then beat until ready to sugar. Drop on foil paper. should make 36
