I have adapted this recipe and my friend who loves perogie loves this too.
15 lasagna noodles (cooked) 2 cups drained cottage cheese or ricotta mixed with 1 eggs,1/4 tsp. onion powder 2 cups mashed potatoes mix in 1 cup shredded old cheddar ( I use more) salt and pepper. 6 strips of bacon fried crisp and crumbled 2 onions chopped and fried slowly in 1/2 c. butter or so.
Grease 9x13 inch pan Layer noodles then cottage cheese mixture noodles mashed potato mixture then noodles mix bacon and onions and pour on top cover with tin foil and bake at 350 for 30-40 mins. let stand before cutting serve with sour cream.
I double this and use more cheddar. Also good with sour croute in with the mashed potaoes.
