Thinking about western Canadian recipes called me back to the very best of
rib recipes. This one is known as :

Kindersley Road House Ribs

Two lengths of pork back ribs; have the butcher split them so ribs are half
their normal length

Separate riblets into sections of two ribs

Marinate in lemon juice, liquid garlic and soya sauce for a minimum 3 hours;
six to twelve hours is preferred;

Salt riblets with Lowry's Seasoning Salt, onion powder and garlic powder;
completely cover each piece; let pieces stand for one hour for seasoning to
form on each riblet (like a crust)

Heat deep fryer to 450 degrees, drop in riblets in small batches (so oil
maintains high temperature) and cook 'til they float

Serve with quartered lemon

Serving suggestion: Make lots of these, as people, once started, will eat
far more than you think!
