As luck would have it, I am making this starter today; and it is the 10-day starter, so here goes: DO NOT REFRIGERATE OR USE METAL SPOONS!!!

Day 1 - do nothing

Day 2 - mush the bag

Day 3 - mush the bag

Day 4 - mush the bag

Day 5 - mush the bag

Day 6 - add 1 cup of all purpose flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk, and mush
the bag

Day 7 - mush the bag

Day 8 - mush the bag

Day 9 - mush the bag

Day 10 - add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Mush the bag and put 1 cup starter in four zip-loc bags (I use gallon size).*

Put the remaining starter in a large bowl and add 1 cup of oil**, 1/2 cup milk, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix.

In a separate bowl, mix: 2 cups flour
1 cup sugar***
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 large box (3.4 oz) of vanilla pudding

Add dry ingredients to wet, and mix. Grease 2 large loaf pans and sprinkle pans with cinnamon sugar. Pour into pans and sprinkle top of loaves with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 325 for 1 hour.

* - These bags are given out to your friends to get then started along with a copy of these instructions(make sure you tell them which day (on the instructions) to start on).

** - instead of 1 cup oil, try 1/2 cup of orange juice and 1/2 cup of oil.

*** - May want to use less sugar (to your taste).

When you don't have any of the starter on hand, start with 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk put these in a plastic bag and mush together (and then start with day 1 the next day).
