I see that the request for this recipe was posted in 1998. I hope you found this recipe somewhere since then, but if not, here's my grandmother's recipe:
Glorified Rice
1 pint crushed pineapple 1 cup pineapple juice 1 3oz pkg lemon jello 1 cup boiling water 8 oz cool whip 1/2 cup sugar 3 cups cooked and cooled white rice
Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Dissolve jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add pineapple juice and refrigerate. When mixture is set, whip to the consistency of heavy cream. Fold sugar into cool whip, and add to jello mixture. Lastly, mix together the pineapple and rice and fold into cream mixture. Chill. |
