In the 1940's or 50's my mother's sister made a chocolate cake from a recipe on Nestle's cocoa tin. They have long since lost the recipe but both of them would really like to have it. My aunt says the last thing the recipe asked for was to dissolve either baking soda or powder in a cup of hot water. BTW, I've contacted Nestle's but so far I've not gotten a response.
