Bertie's Cheesecake

Since this is mom's day I just wanted to share some of Bertie's recipes with you today it help's to keep her memory alive and my mom loved to cook. She was from Besmer, Alabama, had nine children and is missed today.. this is a cheesecake I hope you enjoy I haven't seen it so far so I hope you'll give it a try...

For crust, combine:
1 1/2 pkg graham crackers, crushed
1/4 cup margarine, melted
3 teaspoons sugar
(reserve some crust mixture for garnish)
Press graham cracker mixture across bottom of a pie plate or 8x8 baking dish to form a crust.

Cream together and let stand:
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powered sugar

Beat together until peaks from:
1 envelope Dream Whip
1 cold milk
1 tablespoon vanilla

Fold together cream cheese mixture and Dream Whip mixture; spread over crust.

Top with:
2 cans Wilderness cherry pie filling
and sprinkle your reserved crust mixture over top of cherries.

I think you will love this. I have doubled this recipe and put in a nine by thirteen glass cake plate and its pretty ..joy mo.
