thanks a lot for the time and effort in finding this recipe. it will bring back many memories of my childhood (and my wife who, for 18 years, has heard me praising this sauce) and the meat-less Fridays of that era. my mother passed in 1981 and i did not see her cookbook in which she kept this recipe. thanks again for your effort.
