Recipe: chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting
Misc.Vicki, trip was cancelled so here is the recipe. Hope it was worth the wait !
CHOCOLATE CAKE / PNBUTTER FROSTING
CHOCOLATE CAKE / PNBUTTER FROSTING
1cup white sugar 1/2cup oil
1cup brown sugar 1tsp. salt
3/4cup cocoa 2 eggs
2tsp. baking soda 1cup sour milk(add 1tsp.vinegar to milk)
1tsp. baking powder 1tsp.vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour 1 cup strong coffee
Mix all together, and pour into round tube pan that has been
greased and lightly floured. Bake at 350 * for 45-50 minutes
.( I found it needed about 60 min.)
PNBUTTER FROSTING
1/2cup margarine
2cups icing sugar
2Tbls. pnbutter( I use good rounded ones )
1/2tsp. vanilla
Cream marg.& pnbutter . Add icing sugar gradually & vanilla.
Beat till creamy.
