Hi T, Texas

This recipe has been posted here on the RecipeLink a couple of times by different people. I sure to hope it is the recipe you want.

VINEGAR DUMPLINGS

Preheat oven to 350 deg.

4 OR 5 CUPS FLOUR
2/3 CUP SHORTENING
1 TEASPOON SALT
4 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
1 1/2 CUPS MILK
1/2 STICK (4 T) MARGARINE
1/2 CUP SUGAR
CINNAMON
1 TABLESPOON FLOUR
2 CUPS VINEGAR
2 CUPS WATER
2 CUPS SUGAR

Cut shortening into sifted flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in milk and roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Soften margarine, spread over dough.

Sprinkle cinnamon over entire dough. Next sprinkle sugar over dough and roll up as for cinnamon rolls in 1-inch slices.

Place in a pan so they just touch each other. Sprinkle with 1 Tablespoon flour.

Combine vinegar, water and 2 cups sugar, making sure sugar is dissolved. Pour over dumplings.

Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
