Spaghetti Sauce Recipe By : Susan Wilson
This is one my family loves! I have been married for almost 11 years and have never used spaghetti sauce from a jar!
1/3 cup Olive oil 1/2 pound Ground beef 1/2 cup onion -- chopped 1 clove garlic -- crushed 1 can Italian tomatoes -- 2 lb, 3 oz. 1 can tomato paste -- 6 oz 1 tablespoon light brown sugar 2 teaspoons oregano -- dried 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon basil -- dried 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef,onion and garlic. saute until meat is no onger red. Add tomatores, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano, salt,basil, and pepper. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; cover & simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with pasta.
