hello , i would like to try your donut recipe. i just want to know if i can substitute the shortening for something else. because i can't find any shortening at the supermarket.

and can i use the wet yeast, the ones sold in cubes? and if yes, what's the ratio to dry yeast?

i hope you can help me. thanx...
