BACON MUFFINS

1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 cups sifted flour
2 level tsp Calumet Baking Powder
1/2 level tsp salt
2 Tbsp crisp bacon

Cream shortening and sugar, add beaten egg.

Sift flour and baking powder three times, add alternately with milk. Stir in bacon.

Bake in a hot oven (400) about 25 minutes.
