GOLDEN BEANS AU GRATIN4 bacon slices
1 cup onion (sliced into rings)
1/2 lb. Velveeta Pasteurized Process Cheese Spread, cubed
1/4 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash of ground black pepper
2 pkgs. (9 oz. each) frozen whole green beans, cooked, well drained
1 cup fresh bread cubes
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet. Drain fat, reserving 1 tablespoon.
Cook onion in reserved bacon fat.
Add process cheese spread and milk; heat until melted.
Crumble bacon. Stir bacon, seasonings, and green beans into cheese mixture. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with bread cubes tossed with margarine.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.
Makes 6-8 servings
