This is medium sweet. You could cut down on the amount of sugar ( and I plan to next time I make it) I think 1 cup sugar would be about right. It is especially good made with raspberry vinegar. Don't add poppy seed until serving time or they will get soggy. Great on Spinach salad with oranges, red onion, and toasted pine nuts. RUTH'S POPPY SEED DRESSING 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 tsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. salt 2/3 cup vinegar 3 Tbs. onion juice (1/4 medium onion) 2 cups salad oil 3 Tbs. Poppy seed Blend first 5 ingredients in blender. Slowly blend in oil. Stir in poppy seed just before serving.
