I was so glad to find this recipe from the back of the Hershey's tin from way back. My dad who died in 1965 always made this fudge. The recipe is not even in Hershey's cook books!!! His was always 'hard fudge', but that was because he didn't want to wait for it to cool enough. My MIL made 'hard fudge' too and my late hubby wanted it that way. The Home Economics teacher in me would not let me make it 'wrong'! I waited to 110 degrees. Takes very little beating then. Thanks to all for this trip down memory lane-and the recipe for my collection!
