I want to thank Jo Hargis! I made these cookies as a child with my mother who made EVERY recipe in the Mirro booklet to find the best one. THIS WAS it. SOMEHOW I lost the recipe. BOY am I glad Jo Hargis posted this. The cookies just came out of the oven, as delicious as ever!!! My reputation for the BEST butter cookies is safe.....
