Hello, pizza-makers out there. I am looking for a better way to slide my pizza onto a hot pizza stone -- other than using cornmeal on a wooden peel, which does not work too well for me because my pizza is loaded and heavy with ingredients.
I read somewhere (Martha Stewart maybe?) that you can place a round of parchment paper on the peel, make your pizza on the paper, and slide the papewr and pizza together onto the hot stone. Has anyone tried this, and what were your results? Does parchment paper do all right in a 550-degree oven? Would cheaper waxed paper also work?
Thank you all, in advance, for your help!
Sandy
