I have a recipe from an American cookbook which intrigues me called Dump Cake but I have never tried it because of the lack of stated quantities. For instance it calls for 1 can of cherry pie filling (what size might that be?) a medium can of crushed pineapple (size?) 1 box yellow cake mix (what weight?) 2 sticks of margerine (what weight?) 1 can of coconut (would that be grated, dessicated, milk or cream I wonder?) The plan is to dump ingredients into an ungreased pan in the order listed. Do not mix and Bake 325 degrees for an hour. Has anyone had experience of this kind of cake please?
