Basic White Bread for Black & Decker machine
Hello! For all bread machines, the order is: Wet ingredients, then dry (except flour and yeast), shortening, then dump in all the flour at once, then place the dry yeast on top of the flour. Yeast must not get wet nor touch salt when loading the machine. Here's B&D's (All in One Pro) Basic White recipe. 2 lb loaf, with 1.5 lb measurments following each line in parentheses:
1 1/2 cups water, (1 1/4 cups) 2 tbs powdered milk, (1 tbs) 2 tbs sortening, 1 tbs sugar, 1 1/2 tsp salt, (1 tsp) 4 cups white flour, (3 1/4 cups) 1 1/4 tsp yeast (3/4 tsp) (In Canada: use All-purpose flour, In US: use Bread Flour). The manuals are available, but take A bit of googling to find. Let me know if you need more info. cheers, Lyman
