Cuppa Cuppa Cake (Fruit Cocktail Cake) From Steel Magnolias
1 cup self rising flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup fruit cocktail with the syrup
Bake at 350F in an 8-inch square pan until golden brown and bubbly. Serve with vanilla ice cream while still warm (using half brown sugar makes a richer tasting product).
FRUIT SALAD CAKE 1 cup flour 3/4 cup white sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 #303 can (2 cups) fruit salad, drained 6 tbsp. fruit juice
TOPPING: 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup brown walnuts
Mix cake ingredients all together. Spread in greased 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with topping.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped or ice cream.
FRUIT SALAD CAKE 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 cups flour 3 tsp. baking soda 1 cup fruit cocktail with juice
Mix all ingredients with electric mixer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until done. May serve warm. Top with Cool Whip or whipping cream.
