Hi. I am looking for a chewy sugar cookie that I have had in the past at places like deli's, and in the mall cookie shops. It is not at all cake-like. The ones I like have a somewhat crinkled top (not smooth). They are usually dipped in sugar before baking. They don't need to be frosted. In fact they are perfect without frosting. They're firm and chewy in the centers.
I've seen a couple of recipes on the site, but I'd like to hear if you have one that you think matches this. Thank you very much. Donna
