Sandy, when this happened to me, I called the Wesson oil company because that was the brand listed in the recipe for rum cake I was making. I was told that some of the newer oils such as canola are lighter than the old vegetable oils and can cause the problem. It was suggested I use less oil, In this case it was 1/3 cup rather than 1/2 cup. This has worked for me and might be the answer in your case. |
