I use sugar cookie dough. They look really pretty for a Valentine's party. I'll even take a mini heart cookie cutter for the back. Just roll out a quarter-size circle of dough, place popcycle stick on it; then place your cut out on top, frost & wrap with plastic wrap & curly ribbon.

Here's my recipe.

Sugar Cookies
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Beat butter & sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Slowly add flour, baking powder & salt. Blend well. Cover & refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hr or for up to 3 days.

Roll out & cut desired shapes. Bake 350 degrees for 5-7 min, edges slightly browned. Makes about 4 dozen.

Frosting
1/3 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
