Dough: 1/2 cup veg. oil and enough flour to make a soft (not sticky) dough(rest 1 hr.) Filling: 1lb crushed walnuts,1 can of chick peas(clean of skin and rinse),1 jar of fig filling. Mash all together and add 1 cup of honey. Roll out dough sort of thin and cut into 2 inch squares and fill with teaspoon of filling. Fold over point to point like a turnover. Deep fry in peanut oil 375F Till golden brown. Drain on paper. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if you like.
