DOUBLEGATE INN DOUBLEGOOD COOKIES

3 cups brown sugar
3 cups butter, softened
2 eggs
4 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking soda
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups nuts, chopped
3 cups chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
powdered sugar

Cream butter, brown sugar and eggs. Add combined flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger, blending well. Add nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla.

Store covered in the refrigerator, baking as needed.

TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 357 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.

Form dough into 1 inch balls, roll in powdered sugar. Place on prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Makes 12 dozen
