LEMON-CHEESE COOKIES1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
Colored sugar, cinnamon sugar, or finely chopped nuts
Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together; add egg yolk and lemon extract and rind. Beat until light. Add sifted flour and salt; mix well.
Force dough through spritz gun or cookie press onto ungreased baking sheets. Decorate as desired.
Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes.
