I am making a 3 tier wedding cake with the bottom and middle tier being fruit and the top teir sponge. I have read in various publications that these tiers are to be stacked using rods, other publications say that the tiers can be stacked just on top of each other. Which method is the best as i have never had to stack teirs before.
