JELLO COOKIES

3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello (orange, cherry
& lemon are good choices)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients, roll dough into small balls. Put them on a greased cookie sheet, then
dip the bottom of a glass in sugar and press onto dough until flat, then put them in the
oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or more.

JELLO COOKIES

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 sm. pkg. Jello (any flavor)
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir flour, baking powder and salt together. Cream shortening and sugar. Add dry Jello,
eggs and vanilla. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Shape into balls and place 2
inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Press flat with glass dipped into sugar. Bake at 375
degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Do NOT brown.

JELLO COOKIES

3/4 c. shortening (part butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. fruit flavored Jello
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix thoroughly first 5 ingredients. Blend in dry ingredients. Roll dough in 3/4 inch balls.
Place 3 inches apart on cookie sheet (ungreased). Flatten each cookie with bottom of glass
dipped in sugar or roll balls of dough in sugar, then use fork. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
