Unless you just don't like the taste, I would use the chocolate you buy at the grocer that comes in the blocks that look like ice cubes (that's how I see it packaged)Just melt in the microwave and dip, if starts to get hard, just heat it a few more seconds & stir. Usually you see the white chocolate and the milk or dark chocolate together. We always called the white, Almond Bark. That would be good too on cookies. These chocolates are great to dip pretzels in too or even make peanut butter & crackers (like Ritz or Townhouse) and dip...yummy!

Another suggestion, try a little of your chocolate without anything added - if it doesn't suit you I would add a little parafin wax, that's what recipes like peanut butter balls,... call for.
