This is a wonderful quick and moist chocolate cake that has been used for over 40 years.
Sift into bowl: 2c flour 2c sugar 1 tsp soda 1/2 tsp salt 5 tbsp cocoa
Add: 2 eggs 2/3 c salad oil 1/2 c buttermilk Beat just until well mixed. Pour in 1c boiling water and blend till thoroughly mixed. Bake in 9 x 13 greased and floured pan about 30 min. May be baked in layers, also, if desired. Frosting: Melt 1/2 stick margarine, add 1/4 c cocoa. Stir till dissolved but do not boil. Pour in 1/4c milk. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar till stiff. Sometimes I melt about 3 tbsp choc chips with the melted marg and cocoa
