that your recipe is from the original Betty Crocker cookbook? If this is your source, then I apologize in advance. But, the name looked so familiar, I looked it up in my grandmother's old BC book which is at least 40 years old and there it was! Granted, your instructions are much easier to follow - but here's an interesting bit of trivia: the recipe originated with Marian Ralston of Rochester, Minnesota who supposedly made it in a Betty Crocker film on "new" method cakes called "400 Years in 4 Minutes". I hope you'll find this as interesting as I did. Just imagine how old this actually is! Pretty cool, huh?
