Sherry, I hope this is what you are looking for. These are very good. I always double the recipe when making them.

Double Peanut Butter cookies

1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Crisco (vegetable shortening)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon milk

Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt. Cut in Crisco and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blen in syrup and milk. Shape in roll 2 inches in dieameter; chill. slice 1/8 to 1/4 inch think. place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spread each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter. Cover with remaining slices; seal edges together with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes, or until browned. makes 2 dozen.
