Here are several I collected from different sites. There is even a 30 day starter recipe here.

* AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD - SOURDOUGH

Begin with:1 cup flour 1 cup warm water 1/2 cup sugar 1 package yeast.
Add on 5th day:1 cup flour 1 cup milk 1 cup sugar
Add on 10th day:1 cup flour 1 cup milk 1 cup sugar

Mix all the starter ingredients well and place in medium-sized glass bowl. Cover with dinner plate so as not to cover tightly. Let stand overnight in warm place. Stir down each day for 4 days (Important – do not refrigerate batter at any time) On the fifth day add flour, milk and sugar and stir. Stir down each day until 10th day. On the 10th day add flour, milk and sugar and measure out 3 separate cups of starter. Give one cup starter and a copy of the instructions to each of three friends. Use remaining dough to bake choice of bread or use in streusel recipe as follows:

Friendship Starter Streusel: Batter:2/3 cup cooking oil 1 cup sugar 2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt 3 eggs

Starter Streusel:
1/3 cup margarine, melted
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup quick oats
1 cup nuts (optional

After sharing three cups of starter with friends, mix oil, sugar, flour, baking soda, salt and eggs with remaining starter. Mix well and spoon 1/2 of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 baking pan. To prepare streusel combine all ingredients and mix well. Sprinkle1/2 of streusel over batter. Cover with remaining batter and remainingstreusel.3: Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes

Amish Biscuits
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup Amish (Friendship) Starter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup butter, melted

In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. In a separate bowl combine eggs, Amish Starter and oil. Mix well. Add starter to dry ingredients and mix until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and roll until1/2 inch thick. Using a 3 inch circle cutter or floured glass cutout biscuits and place on a lightly grease cookie sheet. Brush top of biscuits with melted butter. Cover and let rise 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes.

Amish Cornbread

1 cup Amish (Friendship) Starter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and grease a 9 inch baking pan. In a large mixer bowl combine starter, eggs, milk, sugar, flour and cornmeal. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Mix in oil, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Transfer mixture to prepared baking pan and bake for 25 - 30 minutes.

AMISH BREAD STARTER

2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup flour

Combine ingredients in large, airtight container with lid and store at room temp. Do not refrigerate. Stir once each day for 17 days. After that, handle starter according to the following instructions:
*Day 18 - do nothing
*Days 19,20 and 21 - stir once each day
*Day 22 - stir. Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir again.
*Days 23, 24, 25 and 26 - stir once each day.
*Day 27, add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir.
Take out three 1-cup portions. Give 1 cup each to two friends and keep the third cup for yourself to use in the Amish Bread recipe.

When you give the starter to your friends, include the following directions:
*Do not refrigerate. Do not stir with a metal spoon.
*Day 1, do nothing.
*Days 2, 3, and 4 stir once daily.
Day 5, stir in 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Pour mixture into large jar and keep at room temp. Stir and pour into 3 portions of 1 cup each. Portions can be given to friends so that they have starter or used to make Amish Bread.

Scofield House Amish Cinnamon Bread (Friendship Bread)

1 cup starter dough
1 cup oil
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3-4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 small box vanilla instant pudding
Beat all ingredients by hand - add 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup raisins.

Place in 2 well greased bread tins or a bundt pan. Bake at 325 F for 1 hour. Top with powdered sugar.
