My great-aunt gave this recipe to me. I've never tried it. Hope it works for you.

Sand Tarts

2 cups plain flour, sifted
4 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ sticks butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup nuts

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Let butter warm to room temperature.
3. Add sifted flour and powdered sugar to butter and beat until smooth. Add vanilla and nuts.
4. Make out in small cookies, place on baking sheet and bake about 20 or 30 minutes or until just light brown.
5. Remove from oven and roll in powdered sugar while still hot.
