we call that decorators butter cream.
we make it with
1# powdered sugar
1/2 cup Crisco solid vegtable shortening
1/4 cup water
a pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
beat until light and fluffy. this holds up in heat too and is stiff enough to make roses and boarders with no problem.
