I haven't tried this recipe but I hope it's the one you're looking for!

Fudge or Fudge Icing

2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/4 cup light corn syrup
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
Cook 3 minutes for fudge and 2 minutes for icing.
Set off to cool.
Beat several times while cooling.
If icing becomes too thick, milk can be added.
