Pannettone (bread machine)
1 cup warm water 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine, softened 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract 3 cups bread flour 5 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. yeast 1/2 cup raisins (dark or light or mixed); plump (gently heat) in rum till softened and drain very well 1/2 cup coarse chopped nuts (walnuts and pecans) 3 heaping tbsp. candied citron or candied fruit cake mix
Follow manufactures instructions on how to add ingredients. Use the sweet bread cycle. At the beep, add fruit and nuts. Cool completely before slicing.
