hi, for those who were or still are wondering about chocolate banoffee pie, i urged you to try the recipe posted by Sharon, NC. i also have the same book by Patricia Lousada and have just made this pie last night. it is VERY, VERY RICH BUT VERY, VERY DELICIOUS! the book says, " This dessert gets its name from its extravagant layering of ingredients; a blend of chocolate and cream on a biscuit base, then a layer of smooth toffee, topped with slices of banana and, finally, thickly whipped cream piled high with chocolate curls." If that sounds appealing to you, please do give it a try. it's just layering the pie, not much cooking or baking (only about 10 minutes). unfortunately, this is definately not for ppl who r on a strict diet, i am afriad... |
