My dad and his family were raised in Romania/Transylvania. One of my fondest memories is a cake baked by my Aunt Sophie called hunklich. The cake had farina or cream of wheat, eggs, butter and was spread on a cookie sheet. After the cake was baked, granulated sugar was sprinkled on top.
