I am looking for a recipe for poppy seed pie. This was part of almost every dessert table or breakfast pastry table in Germany (Schweinfurt area). I've checked recipe books and haven't found a source yet. It was not a custard pie: it most closely resembled the filling in pecan pie, but was packed solid with poppy seeds. Very rich.
