hi I saw your post for the recipe for bierox. I have been making them for about 6 or 7 years now. I kinda changed the recipe I got but they are really good and easy to make. It all depends on how much trouble you want to go to.
Bierox
1 lb. of ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 2 cups shredded cabbage 4 tsp. lemon pepper (to taste give or take) 3 tsps. garlic powder (to taste give or take) 1 tbsp. flour hot roll dough or frozen rolls thawed out
Brown meat and onions in non-stick pan or heavy skillet. Add cabbage, flour and seasonings and simmer about 20 mins. stirring frequently. If mixture appears dry add a couple of T. water. When tender, remove from fire and cool slightly.
Any uncooked bread dough may be used for the crust such as hot roll mix, frozen rolls, frozen light bread or freshly made hot roll dough. Canned biscuits may be used. When using fresh dough, let rise once, roll thin and cut into 4 inch squares or 6 inch circles.
Fill with heaping 1/4 cup meat mixture then bring corners or edges together and pinch opening shut.
Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees 20 mins or until lightly browned.
if you have any questions feel free to ask me. I am starting this wednesday to make and sell these in a local convenience store. Good luck to you and enjoy!!!
