My mother came from good svedish stock. However for years she conviently left out some ingredients for her meatball recipe. I discovered the allspice and nutmeg! She also used veal and pork, ground, and after browning the medium sized morsels slowly cooked them in veal or beef broth in the oven. producing very tender juicy ones. We always enjoyed this with swedish potato sausage and boiled potatoes with two kinds of veegtables. Oh I forgot the recipe included a pinch of brown sugar in the beef broth.
