Dear Joyce, Here is a recipe we came across from Quick and Healthy by Brenda J.
Ponchtera. I usually double the topping (I fudge alittle.) And I use Sugar
Twin Brown Sugar substitute for the brown sugar called for.
4 cups peeled, sliced apples (I use Granny Smith)
1/4 cup water
4 tsp firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 TBSP firmly packed brown sugar
1 TBSP soft margarine

Combine first 5 ingredients and mix well. Arrange apple mixture in an 8-inch by
8-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick coating. Combine
remaining ingedients and sprinkle over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until
apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.
Yield 8 servings
Calories=80
Exchanges=1/2 starch, 1/2 fruit

P.S. I serve with Dreyer's Sugar Free Vanilla Ice Cream for treat, or Cool Whip
works well.
