Are you Jackie/MA's daughter,i just wondered.........?
Well, i have to say that i didn't think it was possible to freeze Tofu but it seems that you can! learn something new every day! It's just the firm one you can freeze though. Here's the link and also instructions on how to do it.....
http://vegetarian.about.com/c/ht/00/07/How_Freeze_Tofu0962933750.htm
Here's How: 1.Buy firm or extra-firm tofu. 2.Remove the tofu from its packaging. 3.Drain the tofu slightly. 4.Pat the tofu dry with a paper towel. 5.Cut the tofu into desired shapes (slices, cubes, etc.). 6.Wrap each piece individually in plastic wrap. 7.Put all the wrapped pieces into a zip-locked freezer bag. 8.Press the excess air out of the freezer bag. Seal the freezer bag. 9.Freeze for desired amount of time, from one week up to several months.
Tips:
1.The longer you freeze the tofu, the "meatier" it will be when defrosted. 2.Don't freeze regular (non-firm) silken tofu, as it will turn mushy. 3.Cutting the tofu into desired shapes before freezing speeds the thawing process
Hope this help!
