Hi Pam!

Here is a tried-and-true recipe for oatmeal squares that
I make all the time. It's super easy and I was thinking that
you could add dried fruit, sunflower seeds,
coconut, etc.to make it more like granola bars. The recipe
is pretty high in sugar, but then again, most
purchased granola bars are, too. So, anyway, thought you
might want to give this a try. :-)

Simple Oatmeal Squares

2 cups rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins

Mix all ingredients and press into lightly greased 8-inch
square pan. Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes. Cool
before cutting into squares.
