I made the southwestern marinade the other night we had it over chicken. I tried something new... While the chicken was on the grill... I poured the marninade into a pan....and then brought it to a boil... allowed it to boil for about 5 minutes to kill any possible samonella...etc...bacteria. and added a stick of butter... and then used it as a sauce for the chicken... the only thing was it didn't last very long... we ended up eating most of it with crusty bread instead of the chicken!!! yum.
I hope you give it a try... chicken is best when marinated all day.
