Recipe(tried): Italian Sausage, Chicken and Spinach Soup
Soups Hi Everyone,
It's Saturday, 8:47PM, and I haven't had time to post til now! On Friday, I had a yard sale....now my garage looks a bit nicer, too many things that are not needed! Out they went! Then today, I went around getting some of the specials in town, like cream cheese, sour cream, cranberry sauce and....found 2-liter Cokes for 49 cents!
Made this soup on Friday afternoon experimenting with different things int he fridge and freezer, it came out absolutely divine. We enjoyed it with hot crusty Italian bread slices slathered in butter! Yum!!
The addition of the creamed spinach really adds to the flavors of the soup. This is a very flavorful soup! It is quick to make too!! This would make a wonderful Christmas soup because of the red and green colors in it.
Here is the recipe!
Italian Sausage, Chicken & Spinach Soup

1 pkg. Italian sausages, cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
1 large onion, chopped

1 28 oz. can Italian plum tomatoes, chopped

1 t. dried basil
1 t. dried oregano
1 c. frozen cheese tortellini
1/2 sweet green bell pepper, chopped
1 pkg. Boston Market Creamed Spinach

Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer and add all the seasonings. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the green pepper, zucchini and tortellini and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Serve with warm Italian Bread.
