Hi everyone. Just as the snow had almost all melted, we had a major snowstorm last night, and it is still snowing this morning! The temperature isn't that cold, but the roads are sure messy for driving. On Saturday I went to a big garden centre and had a tour of their greenhouses with all the bedding plants they are growing. Good thing I didn't buy any plants with this weather! Tonight we will be having one of our favorite meals, turkey legs in the crockpot. I didn't follow a recipe. I just cut up some onion and celery and put it in the bottom of the pot, added 4 turkey legs (small ones so they fit in), seasoned them, poured a can of tomato soup on top, and cooked on low for about 8-10 hours. At the end I thickened the juices with cornstarch. This is so flexible. You can add any soup you want,or broth, and I often add other vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots. The turkey comes out very tender, and the leftovers are great.
